Christmas Day!

The kids were apparently good this year... Thank goodness for Santa Claus, the Dollar store, Grandpa and Grandma--!!

Julianna likes Highschool musical and girl type stuff, Keanan likes Indiana Jones and Games, Leilani is kind of between stages and all Elijah wanted was a Thomas Train track and table.

So we made a table for him for under $30 and got a train set for about $30- What a great gift at such a great price! Needless to say, he was cery excited about it.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Joyous New Year.

Christmas Parties

There seemed to be a lot of parties going on this season. We had a ward Christmas party that we were asked to make a pinata for. This was our first time making one and it was VERY messy! We one a gift certificate for making it though so that made it all worth it!

When we were at the party, the primary kids were asked to do a Nativity. I was behind the curtains prompting them...It was CRAZY! Leilani was Mary, Keanan was a Shepard and Julianna an Angel---hahaha!

We also attended a Spanish Christmas party were we did Spanish dancing- it was really great!
Of Coarse Santa made an appearance!

Christmas Concert

On Wednesday December 10th, we attended Julianna and Keanan's Christmas Concert. Both of them sang in the choir- and they did a great job. It was very entertaining! Elijah and Leilani sat and watched "Patiently and Quietly"

Holy Snow!

Sunday morning we woke up to a TON of snow. Julio's Bishopric meeting was canceled but he was already up so he went out to shovel our drive way. We share a drive way with our Neighbor who is an elderly man and his daughter. Thank goodness they have a snow blower they let us use. However, Julio couldn't get the snow blower to start so he had to shovel the old fashioned way. It took him about an hour. Just as he was finishing, our neighbor came out to shovel but realized Julio had done his and our driveways. He was very grateful, so was his son who was staying with him.

Later that day, Julio went out again to shovel. When our neighbor's son saw him, he came out to help. Then they saw an older couple across the street shoveling and went over to help them. It's great that one act of service lead to others. Even though it was the sabbath day and we shouldn't do "work" on Sunday, Julio was doing the lords work by serving the neighbors.

This weekend with the Ceron's- December 5th, 2008

This was one of those weekends we were all looking forward. A short, yet much needed holiday.
Every year we go to a place called " Great Wolf Lodge". It's an indoor water park resort. This is our 3rd year going. The first year we went, some friends of ours got a corporate rate from his work. So us and 2 other families went. Last year, we got that rate again and invited a few more- we had about 10 families join. This year, we couldn't get a corporate rate but if we got more than 10 bookings we could get a group rate. So, we booked it way back in June and started telling everyone we knew. There ended up being over 35 families booked and over 150 for our group! It was amazing.

We left Friday afternoon( only takes about 2 hours to Niagara Falls). As soon as we got there, we checked in and headed for the park. We usually spend most of our time there aside from the Arcade and gift shop. In the evening, they do a story time in the lobby for the kids.

We had a lot of fun and everyone stayed safe. Elijah liked the small water slides but when we tried to take him on the big raft ones, he didn't like it very much. The adults favorite is the Raging Rapids. It's a 3 man Dingy that goes up conveyor belts and down slides very fast. Like a roller coaster on a slide- very fun. We also like the adult outdoor Hot tub. Julio was crazy and jumped out of the hot and rolled in the snow- BRR!
On our drive home, we got a snow storm- thank goodness for those Hankook snow tires! WE stayed warm with Hot chocolate and Chilli.
